What I Learned at the LuxRally Travel Advisor Symposium
As a luxury travel advisor in Houston, clients trust, staying ahead of what’s actually changing in this industry matters as much as knowing a great destination. That’s the idea behind the LuxRally Travel Advisor Symposium, a gathering built around breakout sessions and one-on-one meetings with business development managers from luxury vendors across the industry, from cruise lines and hotel groups to, in one memorable session, the luxury car industry. I came away with a clearer picture of where luxury travel is headed, and several new tools I’ll be putting to work for my clients right away.
A New Level of In-House Concierge Service From Your Luxury Travel Advisor Houston Trusts
One of the sessions I found most valuable covered the expanded capabilities of our in-house concierge team. This level of service is reserved for clients who meet a qualifying travel spend, and it opens the door to a genuinely elevated layer of support and access on top of everything I already provide as your luxury travel advisor. If you’re planning a trip at this level, I’d love to talk through whether this service is the right fit.
A New App, Built for Both of Us
LuxRally is rolling out a new app, and it’s not just a back-end tool for advisors. My clients will be able to use it too, viewing every detail of their trip in one place, and even making certain bookings directly if they’d rather handle something themselves. I’ll still be doing the heavy lifting on the planning side, but this gives you another way to stay connected to your itinerary whenever you want it.
UniWorld River Cruises and a New Luxury Line Sailing From Galveston
I spent time in a one-on-one session with UniWorld River Cruises, and it confirmed what I already suspected: this is one of the finest luxury river cruise products on the market. As a luxury river cruise advisor, I only recommend UniWorld to a specific kind of traveler, since it’s priced at the top of the category, but for the right client, it’s an extraordinary experience.
Closer to home, I also learned that a luxury ocean cruise line will begin sailing out of Galveston this December. For Houston-area clients who love the idea of cruising but want something well beyond the mainstream experience, this is going to be a fantastic option, and one I’m excited to start building itineraries around.
Bundled Deals Coming Soon
While nothing is official yet, I learned that new bundled offers combining hotels with major cruise lines, including Carnival, Princess, Holland America, Cunard, and Seabourn, are on the way. Once available, this will let me put together even stronger, more complete packages for clients planning a cruise-and-stay vacation.
Becoming a Dubai Destination Specialist
I also spent time with a representative from the Dubai Board of Tourism, and I’m already following up to begin the training to become a certified Dubai destination specialist. Dubai has become an increasingly popular request from my clients, and I want to be able to offer the same depth of destination expertise there that I already bring to Europe and Hawaii.
A Client Profile Built Around the Details
Finally, one of the most exciting new tools is a client profile system that captures the details that actually shape a great trip: preferred spirits, pillow type, allergies, and other personal preferences. That profile can be shared directly with hotel partners ahead of arrival, so the little details that make a stay feel personal are already taken care of before a client ever checks in.
Why This Matters for You
Symposiums like this one are exactly how I make sure the experience I build for my clients keeps pace with what luxury travel actually looks like today, not what it looked like five years ago. Whether you’re looking for a luxury travel advisor Houston can rely on for an upcoming cruise or a destination trip, new supplier relationships, new technology, and new destination expertise all mean I’m bringing real, current tools to the table, not just good intentions.
If any of this sounds like it fits the kind of travel you’re planning, I’d love to talk it through.
