When it comes to planning luxury travel, it is important that we understand what your budget is because it allows us to shop the right locations for your trip. If you are coming in with a budget of $25,000 for one week, we understand there is a certain level of luxury you have been exposed to, and we should try to provide you something better than your last trip. If your budget is $250 a night, that let's us know where we can exceed your expectations, without blowing your budget, and won't frighten you away from a travel adviser because we offered you a $5k a night room.
That is what I used to think too, but it is simply not the case. First, because I am able to shop over 10 different rates from Travel Advisor sites, I am able to find rates, sometimes significantly, cheaper than what you find online Also, if I see prices have dropped, I can often times contact the vendor and get them to honor the price difference. Most importantly, I am giving you your time back, and we all know the value of our time. Finally, because I charge no fee, allowing you to upgrade an already exquisite trip.

1) I save you time. I am familiar with the products I sell, as well as the areas you want to travel, and for that reason, I am able to quickly find a property that fits your needs, in the places you want to go, and when you want to go there.
2) I am not just a travel agent, I am a luxury travel advisor. Because of my extensive travel experience, I have made mistakes, and I work to make sure you don't. Little nuances you might not think about, I have that nugget of information, and I will share with you. If you have a question, and I don't have an immediate answer, I have a large enough network to find the answer.
3) When you go to a hotel or resort, they see you as a one time guest, just someone passing through, but with me, they rely on me putting someone into that property again, so it is imperative that you are happy so I am happy. Before you arrive, they know you are booked with a travel agent, and you will probably be treated differently from even before you walk through the door.
4) You get benefits that might not be available if you booked yourself. Often times when I book, my rooms can come with breakfast included, free wi-fi, maybe food and beverage credits, and I can try to work in upgrades (if available), and early check-in and late check-out (again, if available).
I believe that one of my significant differentiators is I am not doing travel advising to chase the free stays and the perks that other agents will go after. I am not a multi level marketer making money off of people that I bring into the agency, so my sole focus is booking your luxury travel.
With regard to my travel, I have always paid my own way, so if I am giving you a review on a property or making a suggestion it is my honest opinion, and not because I am beholden to a vendor that gave me a free weekend at the their hotel.
I am paid by vendors. They have a portion of revenue set aside for marketing, and when a luxury travel advisor books with the vendor, that is money they don't have to spend on marketing, so a portion of that goes to me, and they are able to keep the rest and even drop the price of your accommodation in the process.
